1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using LicenShield ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.

2. Description of Service

LicenShield is a WordPress plugin that provides software license management, payment processing integration, and automatic update delivery for WordPress plugins and themes. The Service includes:

• License key generation and management
• Payment processing via Stripe integration
• Automatic software update API
• Analytics and reporting dashboard
• Customer notification systems

3. License Grant

Upon purchase, you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use LicenShield on the number of websites specified in your plan:

• Free: 1 website
• Starter: 1 website
• Pro: 1 website
• Agency: 5 websites owned or operated by you

This license is perpetual for the version purchased. Updates and support are provided according to your plan terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Redistribute, resell, or sublicense LicenShield
• Modify or create derivative works based on the source code
• Use the Service for any illegal purposes
• Attempt to circumvent any license restrictions
• Share your license key with unauthorized parties
• Use the Service to distribute malware or harmful content

5. Payment Terms

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Prices are in USD unless otherwise specified. All purchases are subject to our Refund Policy.

6. Support

Technical support is provided based on your plan:

• Free: Community support (WordPress.org forums)
• Starter: Email support (48-72 hours)
• Pro: Priority email support (24-48 hours)
• Agency: VIP support (12-24 hours)

Support covers installation issues, configuration questions, and bug reports. Custom development and third-party integration assistance are not included.

7. Updates

Lifetime updates are included with your purchase. Updates include bug fixes, security patches, and feature improvements. We reserve the right to release major new versions as separate products.

8. Intellectual Property

LicenShield and all associated intellectual property remain the exclusive property of LicenShield. You retain all rights to your own content, data, and products managed through the Service.

9. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for the data you collect through LicenShield and must comply with applicable data protection laws.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet your specific requirements. Use at your own risk.

11. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall LicenShield be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LicenShield from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

13. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for any breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your license to use the software ends, but you may continue using previously installed versions.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
